End of the summer, Back at RPI, New Photos...

Well summer has unfortunately drawn to a close and I'm now back up at RPI. I had a great summer and got to go to a bunch of concerts. Enjoyed myself a lot, work also went well, had my third summer at Indian Point.

Now that I'm back at school things are getting busy again. I've been trying to get some work done to the site. Adding a photoblog soon. I'm going to post the pictures of mine I like best to it. That the first thing I'm going to be working on. Then after that I hope to get around to updating my Gallery2 Facebook application so that it works better, supports more galleries, and puts less demands on my servers. I don't know how long all of this will take since school and work takes up a good amount of my time.

I have also uploaded more photos to my gallery. A good number of galleries have been added over the summer.

Best concert EVER

This past weekend I went to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Dropkick Murphys show down at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville NJ. It must have been the best concert I've ever been to. The Bosstones did an amazing job. They played almost all the songs I wanted them two and I was right up at the front of the crowd. It was an excellent time to see my favorite band of all times. Then Dropkick was just an added bonus. This show has made me realize that I need to listen to more Dropkick. During one of the Murphys' last songs the Bosstones came on stage and played with them and it was great. I cannot wait to get to see the Bosstones again and am defiantly planning on seeing Dropkick again as well. Unfortunately, I did not bring my camera so there are no pictures from the show except for a few low quality ones from my phone in the moblog.

I've been going to alot of shows this summer and I going to be go Warped Tour this coming Saturday. That should be good (but not as good as the Bosstones/Murphys show). There are a good number of bands there that I can't wait to see, especially OreSkaBand, a ska band from Japan. Some of the other bands I'm looking forward to seeing are The Aggrolites, Bouncing Souls, Fear Nuttin' Band, Matisyahu, and Reel Big Fish.

When I'm not working this summer (I'm at Indian Point again), I am trying to use my camera more and take more pictures. So I've added a good amount of photos to my gallery. I've added around 15 new albums over the past 2 or so months. Unfortunately I had to send in my Rebel for repairs so I'm stuck using a compact until I get it back.

I have also been doing some work on this site as well. There's an entirely new moblog that I've coded from scratch. TextAmerica, who I use to use for my moblog started charging money so I decided to roll my own solution. I've also been trying to clean up some parts of the site and I'm thinking of installing a real CMS for this page. I'm getting tired of using phpMyAdmin to make my posts. One of the many drawbacks of getting bored halfway through attempting to make your own CMS.

well i feel that i should post something here. i havent i quite some time. had a pretty good first semester and christmas break and im now back in school.

i got a ps3 at the end of last semester and have been throughly enjoying it. however, i would like some more games for it. the game devs have been alittle slow getting them out.

ive made some minor tweaks to my site but nothing really major. im trying to come up with some more content. right now i mainly just host my photos on my site. hopefully ill get some good new stuff up. somethings wrong with my textamerica account so it appears that my moblog is down. but the last working picture somehow is still appearing in the moblog feed.

summers over, back at RPI

Well unfortunately summer had to end. Yes it is good to be back at school, however, I am a little disappointed that the summer went so fast. I ended up spending most of it working. This could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. Yes I needed the money, but I would have liked to have had a bit more fun this summer.

I worked at the Indian Point Energy Center this summer. It was an awesum internship as I got to work in the Plant Process and Control group in the IT department of a nuclear power plant. Probably one of the most interesting summer internships I could have ever found. Most of the people there were great people and were very interesting. I learned a lot and got some much needed real world experience. And the hours were great. You can't go wrong with every other friday off.

I also got the opportunity to work on an Assemblyman's web site this summer. I was very happy to help them out. They were looking for a new webmaster and when I was asked I agreed almost instantly.

Overall the summer was pretty good. Had some fun when I could on weekends and when I wasn't working. However, I would have really liked to go on a 250mi bike ride that some of my friends went on (stupid work).

Oh well. Back to the daily drudgery of classes. Hopefully they'll be a little better than last year. I'm really looking forward to taking Embedded Control. The class looks like so much fun. You get to program small blimps and make them do what you want (well what your task is).

well i havent posted in a while. ive been busy with lots of different things. first off i went snowshoeing recently and have put the picutes up from the trip. there is also a 360 degree panorama from the trip as well. the panorama is in the gallery and the photos are located in the photo gallery . since the computer that iwas using to host my photo gallery died i have to restore the photo gallery. i will slowly be uploading my pictures and putting them back up.

recently i moved my site to a new host because the old one just wasnt cutting it. now i have unlimited storage so i can put up all those pictures. aslo with the move i am reworking some of my sites backend and frontend. it will look the same but for alittle it might be slightly different while im implementing features i want.

the big red freakout happened like two weeks ago and was really good. im so happy that i got to go to that. i have to thank celine because she was the one who got me the ticket. it was an excelent game. we won 4-2 against brown.

this past weekend i went home because we had monday off. it was an ok weekend, wish i had done alittle more. but i did get to see two movies so it was good. saw date movie and the pink panther. date movie was ok but the pink panther was awesum. im going to have to get the old pink panther movies and watch them.

halloween
Call trans opt: recieved. from: billyburly
10.31.2005 7:20:03 PM REC:Log>

just got back from walkin around for halloween. i was dressed up as neo. we also had people with us dressed up as donatello, sam fisher, the continental, a table, and a guy in an orange jacket. i was amazed by the number of people who were being total jerks. ther were alot of people who were being total idiots. there was a group of people out throwing oranges at people. there were some people who found us amusing or funny but overall most people seemed annoyed or offended by the fact that we dressed up. the person at the muller center had us leave almost immediatly. he said that we werent funny and that he might call public saftey. what harm are a bunch of people in halloween costumes going to do.

3 day weekend!!!
Call trans opt: recieved. from: billyburly
10.11.2005 11:39:40 AM REC:Log>

had a 3 day weekend this weekend. it was so nice to get to sleep in on monday. (i wish tuesday followed tuesday classes, not monday classes). the weekend was pretty good. i dont know why but i had a good weekend. it was uneventful and kinda boring... but it was good. there werent many people here because many of them went home. it was very quiet. it also rained alot so i ended staying inside a good amount. but it didnt stop up from wandering around at night. we ran into one of the public safty guys at a gas station(we stopped to get something to eat). he was pretty cool. the only bad thing about the weekend is it messed with my sleeping schedual. i got pretty use to staying up til 4 or so in the morning. when i had to go to sleep last night i had alot of trouble falling asleep.

09.22.2005 11:05:04 PM REC:Log>

went to saratoga winnings today and saw Ska is Dead 3. it was great. there was kicking sicisly, and westbound train as warmups. then was the planet smashers. they are so much better live than on the cd. the toasters were just amazing. i loved it. they played weekend in la and dont let the bastards grind u down, to name a few. it was just so amazing. i wish they had played devil and a .45, and todays a good day. then was catch 22. there just ok. they should have been opening for the toasters instead of the toasters opening for catch22. i took some videos with my phone and there up on my moblog. well i need to get some sleep. have a 8 am class tomarrow. yay cad.
