The Camp Nooteeming Properties Committee exists at the pleasure of the Hudson Valley Council and is charged with the care and development of Boy Scout Camp Nooteeming, Salt Point, New York.

Since 1926, Camp Nooteeming has been serving area youth with facilities and program that cultivate character, adventure, imagination and Scout Skills. It has been serving the needs of the Scouting community and in particular Boy Scouting, Cub Scouting and increasingly even Girl Scouting.

The 270-acre camp is nestled into Dutchess County woodlands away from traffic and other signs of civilization. The camp’s many fields offer ample opportunities for recreation, advancement and serenity. The four-mile Red Trail traces the camp’s perimeter past Nooteeming Lake, a tumbling waterfall, pine groves, wetlands and stream crossings allowing for both exercise and the study of nature. The camp contains seven cabins and a dining hall, most capable of overnight rental. Six established platform tent-sites, four lean-to sites and countless primitive sights -- each with their own latrine and fire ring -- invites units of all size and skill to partake of the Camp Nooteeming’s camping program.

The mission of the Camp Nooteeming Properties Committee is the upkeep of Camp Nooteeming, taking care of what we have and planning for the future. We operate on the premise that “It Takes a Village to Raise a Scout Camp” and we invite the participation of all. There are countless ways to help Camp Nooteeming including work days, material or monetary donations and campmaster corps. Should you desire to help, please click on the“volunteer” link above and an on-line form will help you determine how best to join our committee’s efforts. If you choose to donate financially, please click on the “donate” button above and follow the instructions therein. The Nooteeming Properties Committee and the Scouts of Camp Nooteeming thank you for your show of support. Peruse our site, become involved and stay true to Scouting’s values.
